Connector · Works with Vividly

Use Claude with your Vividly trade promotion data

The Vividly connector lets Claude read your trade promotion data directly, so your team can ask questions about promotions, spend and deductions in plain language instead of building a report first.

What it does

  1. Promotions.Every promotion line: customer, account, product group, fund type, dates, status, and planned and actual spend.
  2. Trade spend.Spend by fund type, customer, account and month, and a full year totaled in one step, planned or actual.
  3. Deductions.Deductions, repayments and billpays, with their invoices, line items, status and dates.
  4. Customers, products and revenue. The customer and product lists, pricing, revenue records and settlement reports that sit behind the spend.
  5. Read-only.Claude can look things up and summarize. It can't change anything in Vividly.

One Vividly lookup through the custom connector, then Claude's answer.

Summarize trade spend by fund type for September and compare it with August.
Vividly · trade spend summary

September planned spend was up 15% on August, almost all of it in off-invoice.

Off-invoice
$40,000 in Aug, $46,000 in Sep
Scan-back
$12,000 in Aug, $12,500 in Sep
Slotting
$8,000 in Aug, $8,000 in Sep
Illustration with sample data. Claude reads Vividly through the connector and totals the spend itself; nothing in Vividly changes.

Who it's for

CPG finance and sales teams that plan and settle trade in Vividly. Typically the people who reconcile trade spend against plan, chase deductions, or prepare the numbers for a monthly review.

What people ask Claude

  • Which promotions last quarter ran furthest over planned spend? Show the top ten with retailer and tactic.
  • List open deductions over $5,000 that are more than 60 days old, grouped by customer.
  • Summarize trade spend by fund type for September and compare it with August.
  • What promotions are scheduled at our top three retailers next month?

Claude can combine the answer with whatever else it has in the conversation: a spreadsheet you've attached, your NetSuite connector if you use one, or a skill your team has written for month-end review.

How access works

  1. Request access. Tell us your Claude plan and who on your team will use it, using the form below.
  2. Vividly API access. Your Vividly administrator enables API access for your account. We tell you exactly what to ask for.
  3. Add it to Claude. A Team or Enterprise Owner adds the connector once in Organization settings. Each person then connects and signs in with an account we set up for them. On Pro and Max, you add it yourself.
  4. We run it. We host and monitor the connector and update it when Vividly's API changes.

Questions

Can I connect Vividly to Claude?

Yes. Vividly has no off-the-shelf Claude connector, so this is a custom one: Shannon Advisory built it, hosts it, and sets it up in your Claude workspace with you.

Is there a Vividly MCP server?

This connector is one. It's a remote MCP server that reads Vividly through its API, and Claude adds it through its custom connector setup.

Which Claude plans does it work with?

Claude's Team and Enterprise plans, where an Owner adds it once for the organization and each person connects, and Pro and Max, where you add it yourself. It works wherever you use Claude, including the desktop app.

Can Claude change anything in Vividly through it?

No. The connector is read-only. Claude can look up promotions, spend and deductions and summarize them, but it can't create, edit or settle anything in Vividly.
